Maybe this has something to do with the duration of last year's race, but I was convinced that this weekend was F1's third visit to Korea. Weird.

Hands up if you thought that the FIA's ban on engine mapping changes between qualifying and the race would finally bring an end to Red Bull Racing's run of nine consecutive pole positions. Yeah, me too. And once again we have an all-Red Bull front row for tomorrow's European Grand Prix.

Double DRS zone may be here to stay

F1 race director Charlie Whiting today revealed that the FIA plans to continue experimenting with double DRS zones for the remainder of the season, despite the fact that neither he nor the drivers believe that the format worked as expected at the last Grand Prix in Canada GP two weeks ago.

Red Bull Racing has had a car on pole position at every one of this year's Formula One Grand Prix. This statistic is impressive enough (or depressing enough, depending on your point of view) and it becomes even more so when you consider that, over the first seven races of the 2011 season, the average difference between the RBR pole sitter's Q3 lap time and that of the nearest non-Red Bull car is more than half a second (0.536 seconds, to be precise).

Engine clampdown to start in Valencia

Formula One teams will no longer be able to either change or tinker with their engines between the start of qualifying and the Grand Prix itself, a letter sent to them from the governing body the FIA has revealed.
